I'm officially on the hunt for Easter basket goodies. I've seen these carrots made with orange jelly beans, but in an attempt to avoid overloading the basket with just candy, I've opted for a more nutritious version. And they are easy peasy to make! What you will need:
- Disposable decorating cake bags
- Green ric rac ribbon (I used one yard per carrot)
- Whole wheat goldfish crackers, Annie's cheddar bunnies, etc
Just fill the bags with your treats, gather at the top & tie with the ric rac ribbon!
They are small enough for little hands to carry plus portable to eat while you are on the go!

how very cute!!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea- I love it!
ReplyDeleteI did this once when my 8 year old was 2. We did a farm party and I used cheetos instead. It was a great substitute for Goldfish or M&M's because it kept the cost down and the kids loved it! Very cute!
ReplyDeleteThese are adorable! And I love that it's not such a sugary treat. Thanks for sharing! :)
ReplyDeleteA wonderful idea!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely genius! My kids don't handle sugar well, and I'm always happy to find alternatives they'll love!
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute & so clever! I love the idea of the goldfish, as we too are trying to avoid sugar overload!! Great idea!
