Witch Hat Tee

Add a touch of magic to your little ones wardrobe with a witch hat tee! 

Inspired from an adorable tee I saw from Izzy & Ivy, I followed their hat template as my guide. 

 You'll need: 

Halloween fabric

Fusible webbing

Embroidery thread

 Button

Scissors

Iron

The whole thing took less than an hour to create. And aside from the spiders legs & web no other sewing was involved! Woot!

Add a tutu & pair of leggings and you've got one cute Halloween outfit!

DIY Felt Stethoscope

 My lil gal loves all things Doc McStuffins. We've made a Big Book of Boo Boos, Lambie Tail Treats & Boo Boo Stickers. So to add to her doctors kit, I created a felt stethoscope. Now she can perform check-ups on all her toys!

 What you'll need:

Plastic headband

1 foot of ribbon (shorten if needed to insure ribbon can't be wrapped around child's neck)

2 - 2" x 5" Red felt for ears (extra for hearts)

2 - 3" Ivory felt circle

1" x 3" Tan felt rectangle

Brown permanent marker

Poly-fil

Hot glue gun

Needle and thread

Wrap the ends of the headbands with felt strips and hot glue. Finish by adding glue and pinching to seal off end of headband. The felt ends should be large enough to fit over the ears and not in the ear canal at all. If necessary, add more felt to thicken.

Using the hot glue gun, attach heart to small band-aid center. Using the brown marker, add dots for a finishing touch. Attach band-aid to one of stethoscope circles with hot glue.

Loop one ribbon end over headband and attach with hot glue. Using the other end of the ribbon, attach to the back felt circle.

Place stethoscope top (with band-aid) on top of the back felt circle and stitch where ribbon meets with a blanket stitch. Stuff with Poly-fil & close with blanket stitch.

Easter Bunny Canvas

Add some fun to your Easter decor with this pom-pom bunny 

and pennant canvas!

What you'll need:

Canvas

Craft paint

Paint brushes

Bunny stencil

Fabric 

White yarn

Hot glue gun

Twine

1. Paint the entire canvas the color of your choice.

2. I googled bunny clipart & selected a favorite image. Print the image, cut it out & trace the image on to the canvas.

3. Fill in the traced bunny image with white paint.

4. Cut a few triangles from the fabric for the pennants. 

4. Using the glue gun, attach the triangles to the twine.

5. Make two pom-poms using the white yarn.

6. Attach pom-poms to bunnies butts with the glue gun.

That's it! Super quick & easy to make!

DIY Designer Fabric Band-Aids

With a toddler in the house, we always have an available stash of band-aids. Various sizes, colors and prints (Princesses & Hello Kitty are a must)! Lately my lil gal has been obsessed with them. OBSESSED! Which sort of goes hand-in-hand with her sticker fascination.

Since the fun printed band-aids aren't cheap, I decided to kick up the basic version with some fun & vibrant fabrics!

What you'll need:

Fabric

Adhesive band-aids (I used the fabric version)

Double sided tape

Scissors

Unwrap the band-aid & place two strips of double sided adhesive tape on the top (fabric side)

Lay out the fabric, reverse side facing you & press the band-aid on to it. Cut around the edges.

That's it! Momma-made band-aids!

Easy peasy & super cute!

Since the adhesive tape probably won't let the band-aid breathe, these might be best for small owies or faux scraps & bumps!

Turkey Hand Tee

Here's a modern twist on the Thanksgiving hand turkey!
My daughter and I made this a few years ago and we had so much fun I had to share it again!

Look at that sweet little face! I can't believe how fast she's growing up!

Three years later & she had to squeeze into the shirt one last time for some silly photos!

We followed the tutorial from Treasures For Tots as our guide. Using fabric scraps, ribbons & buttons, we made the whole thing in less than one hour & the best part... No sewing involved (woot)!

Now go create some memories of their sweet little hands and make your little one a fun tee to rock this Thanksgiving!

Toddler Tank Makeover

We recently had the opportunity to participate in an amazing photo shoot (I'll share the image soon!). The only criteria was that we had to wear white. Once I got my little gal dressed in her white tank, I realized it needed some pizazz.
Chiffon flowers to the rescue!

Blank tank = Boring right?

You'll just need a few supplies to pretty it up:

• Chiffon fabric
• Beads
  
• Scissors
• Lighter
• Needle
  
• Thread
  

Cut chiffon circles in various sizes and singe the edges with the lighter. It'll prevent fraying & curl the edges.

Next sew the chiffon circles & add the beads.

These cuties aren't just for tank tops. Add them to a hair clip or headband, glue them onto a plain pair of ballet shoes or attach one to a pin back and wear it on your favorite fall cardigan!

In less than 10 minutes, this is the transformed tank!

Now go try making some of the flowers. I promise it's so easy, you'll be hooked!
